Cindy A. Weinstein is Caltech's Chief Diversity Officer, Vice Provost, and Eli and Edythe Broad Professor of English.
Vice Provost and Professor of English Cindy Weinstein was appointed in 2015 as Caltech's inaugural Chief Diversity Officer. Weinstein is the point person in cross-campus efforts to increase the diversity of the Caltech community, with a particular focus on helping to coordinate campus programming and educational activities through the Caltech Center for Inclusion and Diversity and providing institutional counsel and leadership through the President's Diversity Council. She is also a co-principal investigator for the Institute's participation in the Research University Alliance (RUA), an NSF-funded program that aims to increase representation of historically underrepresented groups in academia and the professoriate by supporting the development and training of graduate students and postdoctoral students across STEM fields.
